What are the pros and cons of globalization?

Pros: Areas without access to medicine or food can now be helped. Cultural ignorance becomes less prevalent as more and more people are exposed to different ways of life. Some cons are: Globalization may create a flattening effect, where local color is lost in favor of the universal, and everyone ends up the same.

Globalization creates an economic discincentive to go to war while creating cultural understanding. This trend however risks the establishment of monocultures destroying peoples societal ideals.
