What are symptoms of a bad pvc valve?

I think my pvc valve is bad.

valves have been known to lock up or corrode to a point of inoperativeness. If it's a cut off valve you best bet is to replace that joint. I would recommend using a BALL valve as they have the least instance of locking or corroding up. Look for a PVC Ball Valve to replace with.

a bad pvc valve can also cause the dip stick to become unseated in the tube and is noticeable by oil being blown out of the tube.
