A friend didn't know what this green furry thing was and picked it up with a cloth as it looked 'cute'. He got stung right through the cloth and had excruciating pain! Luckily the pain lasted only a few minutes

Last month parts of Illinois had this huge swarm of green soybean aphids. But they were apparentlly quite harmless and poses no thread. But it must have been annoying having them all over you!

The Green Stink Bug attacks apples but could catch you unawares in an orchard or Apple storage area. Their name sounds stinky - but I am not sure just how bad they smell!

Velvet Ants, which are actually flightless female wasps, look harmless but have a long powerful stinger. They can't fly and are furry.

Saddle back caterpillars can pack a mean bite. Another biting green bug is the Assassin bug. They often can leave a blood blister in the place of the bite for they have powerful beak like pincers.

An Assassin Bug is probably the worst of them all - if the bugs were any bigger they could even kill humans! They paralyse and kill other insects.  add a comment
