Photo collages can be made either by hand, or through a program that is either on your computer or online. The key is to pick the best photos for it. You want to find photos that highlight different things you did. For example, if your vacation was to Hawaii, you'd want a photo from a luau, beach, etc.

Check out some craft stores and get some supplies. Pick more scenic photos for the background images and trim your other pictures to lay over the top. Then decorate the boarder with tissue paper and collage paper from the craft store!
