Chinchilla would require a large enough enclosure probably a double high one so they have enough room to run around and stretch out, Chinchilla's do not like to be handled

With pet stores and breeders, you always have to be careful if there is no health guarantee do not go through with it. Most pets at pet stores come from mills which are imbreed and have genetic problems. I suggest first looking online at shelters and specific organizations
