Dogs, like many animals, don't display symptoms of sickness like humans do. Because of this you usually have to regard any change in behavior as a sign of illness. These include lethargy, lack of appetite, fever, restlessness.

Dogs may have discharge from their eyes or nose when they are ill. You also may notice change in appetite or activity level.

Dogs can show sickness by similiar symptoms as humans. When dogs are sick they can be lethargic and not interested in food or play. Dogs can vomit or have diarrhea when they have stomach problems. They can have cold like symptoms when sick, as well.
