First read all the owner manual before attempting to use it. Make sure to where all the recommended safety gear. When using it always keep you hands away from the blade. Firmly hold the wood against the back-rest and wait until the blade stop to remove the piece.

One basic rule when using any kind of saw is not to talk while using it.Wearing gloves and a face mask is also a good idea.
