What are some safe pregnancy exercises?

While you are pregnant you will have to do a lot less than you could do before you were pregnangt. Walking is a great form of exercise. You can also do yoga and swimming. Swimming is great because it feels good to float in the water when you are pregnant.

The best exercise for pregnant women is walking. It is truly unbelievable to find how effective walking can be when done properly. Women should start off by walking one mile on a flat surface such as a high school track. Safety is the key when dealing with exercise while pregnant.

Pregnant women really should not do much exercise except for a very light amount of walking in addition to their normal activities. Too much stress can cause premature contractions, also known as Braxton-Hicks contractions, and put stress on the fetus. You should check with your doctor for more information and what is safe for your situation.

Walking is always safe- just remember to stay hydrated and not overdo it. Yoga and pilates are also safe for pregnant women- find a class or try videos.
