Some relics of feudalism include the King of Spain, Queen of England, and Queen of Norway. The method of praying to God with one's hands held together is a gesture of submission to one's feudal lord, adopted by Christians in prayer to "the Lord of Lords". The word "steward" is a feudal term adopted throughout the King James Bible.

Feudalism was the rule of law during the Middle Ages. It was a social system that was determined entirely by wealth and class. The workers of the time were nothing less the slaves. At the end of the period, workers revolved and wages became the law.

The European honor system of titles (dukes, earls, etc) is the major relic of feudalism in the world; another example is the co-rulers of the country Andorra, where one of the rulers is a bishop, which showes that the Church once had temporal power.
