What are some popular and valuable coins from the early 1800's?

My favorites are the 2-cent large pennies and the 1/2 cents. I have several 2 cent large pennies, and these always hold their values well. The 1/2 cents are a popular item at the coin trade shows, but if you want some real value now try to get some early 1800 gold coins.

The most popular coins are the Morgan Silver dollars which were first issued in 1878. Value will depend upon the year, where the coin was minted and its overall condition.

Popular US coins from the 1800s are Buffalo Nickles. Around the same time, silver. 50 pieces were circulated. British pounds from same period were also solid silver, nickle or gold.
