Do matching games with colors, numbers, letters, etc. You can also do float or sink games in the bathtub / pool.

Counting. TO teach a child how to count you may use items such as teddy bears (or in some cases, candy). Have the child count the teddy bears. Also when teaching a child how to spell, use blocks with letters on them. This incorporates fun time into learning time for the child.
