Second story windows are very easy to decorate, however there are a few things to remember, it is suggested that you do not "Advertise" that children are sleeping in a room, so stay away from window clings. Wooden blinds have become very popular in the recent past, as well as bamboo blinds and lfoor to ceiling drapes.

For outdoors, window boxes with brightly colored flowers may be a hit. For indoors, plantation shutters, wooden blinds, vertical blinds or some other kinds of plastic blinds may work. Different kinds of curtains including sheer ones, or valances will look stunning. Window clings for a child's second story window may also work well.

Sheer curtains with thicker curtains inside the house give you lots of options about window treatments. A potted plant or two can be lovely, as well.

Hang curtains that have tie backs for a cottage look. Drape the curtain fabric so it is full and looks good from outside.
