Centerpieces are rarely meant to be taken home because it's big. Try a diaper cake. If you're looking for favors, then perhaps little picture frames with baby's name.

Buy empty bottles and paint with puff paint the date of the shower and they symbol of the sex of the baby if known. Fill with liquor or bubbles, etc

Think about making them for the mom-to-be to take home instead. You could make a tower out of diapers, or use bottles and then she could take them home.

For each table setting you can take a small pail or woven basket and line the bottom in a folded baby rag or blacket, blue or pink depending upon the sex of the child. You can then fill the pail or basket with baby related items or even fill it with pink or blue gerbera daisies.

I know it is kind of generic, but anything to do with candy is always a big hit. It is a treat that many do not afford themselves on a regular basis, and so it makes for a special treat. Candles are also a nice and pretty centerpiece, and you can get them relatively cheap, yet they make wonderful gifts.

Edible centerpieces are rather popular these days. You can order or make fruit ones, or you might consider making them out of wrapped candy. You can also use baby dolls or towels folded into baby shapes.

A cute idea would be to fill a fishbowl halfway with water and put little rubber ducks floating in it. Have rubber duck theme for the whole shower.
