I think bringing out pictures or having a slide show is a great idea. Make sure that everyone can participate and ask questions about stuff that comes up in the slideshow.

Re-create 1929 as the theme. Wear "flapper" clothes, play 20's music, print posters that reflect newspaper headlines and movies from that year. You could find a documentary from that era and having it playing on the TV in the background. Or have some things that compare what it was like then to what it's like now.

Find out what she would still like to do with her life and make it happen. Present her with photos of her whole family, but more importantly make them come to the party. Incorporate all of her favorite foods, colors, etc.

I think you should decorate with a lot of old pictures of good memories that she has and everyone talk about their good memories of her with them. Play music that she has enjoyed in her life. If she is able to dance, ask her to dance.
