Although there are countless fun and family friendly places in Germany, I know from personal experience that the food was the most enjoyable and memorable part of the visit.

A great trip to take is to visit Neuschwanstein in Bavaria. This is the "cinderalla castle", built by King Ludwig II. It is the similar in appearance to the castle at Disneyworld, and your kids will get a kick out of walking through the real deal. Everything about the castle is larger than life, with vivid colors and ornamentation.
