Never include anything about why you left a job. There should be a continuity of employment that shows you left one position and went to another, regardless of the reason. Be prepared to answer questions an interviewer might ask, however. Be positive; never diss a former employer.

This can be delicate. On the one hand, you do not want to just lie entirely. On the other hand, it looks very bad if you bash former employers. Usually, something vague and conciliatory is best. Examples of this include, "I wanted a position with more opportunity for growth" or "I needed to explore another opportunity. "

One good reason that you can put on your resume or application is that you were not getting enough hours.
