Acetone, the ingredient used in nail polish remover, removes ink. Place a paper towel in between the layers of clothing, daub acetone on and blot with another paper towel, soak article in warm soapy water and then wash with no other clothes. Do not rub!

If you have stained your clothes with a ballpoint pen sometimes it is possible to remove the stain with rubbing alcohol.
