What are some good flowers for a window box?

Choose flowers that are short or trailing: impatiens, lobelias, bacopa, geraniums and alyssum are all popular choices. You can also grow basil, spinach, or dwarf tomatoes for a salad!

Many flowers can be good for a window box; the trick is using moisture-retaining soil made for them. Beyond that, a good petunia is a great place to start!

Pansys, marigolds, and johnny jump ups are the best the only problem is with the jonnys they will spread if you dont watch them closely and keep them under control.

Red geraniums are a good choice to put in a window box. Their deep red flowers stand out and can easily be seen from a distance.
