You can take a bike tour of Lima or visit the Parque Reserva and see The Magic Water Circuit. You can do a tour of the museums (Museuo Larco, Myuseo Amano etc). If you want to venture outside the city itself go to Caral, a World Heritage Site.

Miraflores is a great part of Lima that is full of cute boutiques and excellent food. It is one of the safest neighborhoods in Lima.

There are quite a few good day trips to take in Lima. One of the best day trips is to the Museo de Oro.

From Lima you can take a side trip to see Machu Picu and the site of the Inacs. It's a long trip, but well worth the time.

Well go to the Amano Museum. It's pretty neat. And also take some trips down to see the ruins of Lima which is in Juliana.

You can always head south to the beaches. They vary in distance and are easy bus rides. If you want to see some ruins there is Pachacamac which has pre-Inca ruins and is about a 45-minute bus ride from Lima.
