Aleve is one product recommended by many doctors to help with arthritis pain. Some doctors recommend it be taken daily while pain persists. Another over the counter item that helps is Act On pain relief stick which is applied directly to the inflamed areas. Warm compresses and heating pads also will help to relieve arthritis pain.

If you are looking for easily assessable, over the counter medicine, then Arthritis Formula Tylenol works fantastic. It is, in many personal instances, better than any prescription meds that you could get from your doctor. You could also take a long hot bath to help your joint pain. Heat pads are good too.

Arthritis is a condition that can not be ignored. You should see a physician to rule out significant afflictions such as gout or rheumatism. If you do have osteoarthritis, you can try NSAIDS to control flare ups.

Moist heat and an analgesic antiinflammatory medication are both good, used together. Once the pain is decreased, gentle movement of the affected joints is recommended, such as stretching.
