Personally, I like the Roller Coaster tycoon and Zoo Tycoon series. Roller Coaster Tycoon has you take control of an amusement park and the goal is to build rides that are fun and profitable. Zoo Tycoon is similar except you are working with animals and are trying to take care of them as well as your guests.

For hours of fun, Sim Theme Park is a blast. You get to design your own amusement park's every detail, as well as meet challenges and develop new rides.

I personally like the Rollercoaster Tycoon series. I own Tycoons one through three and still play them on occasion with the goal of having a high park value.

There are tycoon games for just about anything. Some of the best include: Roller Coaster Tycoon. which have many expansion packs; Zoo tycoon, which also features expansion packs; and Theme Park tycoon which has one large game pack. There are also online tycoons such as lemonade tycoon or city tycoon.
