It seems that Nascar has created its own lingo some of the words you may hear is rubbing, which is when two cars are bumping each other as they go around the track.

NASCAR lingo includes phrases such as "splash and go," which refers to a pit stop where the driver gets nothing but a quick supply of gasoline before returning to the track. It also includes words like "loose" (when the car is turning too easily when the wheel is turned) and "tight" (when the car is too hard to turn).

"Silly season" refers to the time of year when drivers jump from team to team. "Running tight" means that the steering is not enabling you to take turns well. "Running loose" means that the rear end is wobbly.
