You will need to wire to the battery and then you will need a wire to an amp which is mounted on the same side of the amp, you will then need to ground the amp. I think this is the easiest way to wire a capacitor and also the quickest as well.

First, connect the a wire from the negative side to a ground source. Next, cut power supply in half and attach both cut ends to the pos side.

A capacitor is charged with a voltage source on its negative side, and then the charge is released with a ground pulse on the positive terminal. It really depends what you are using the capacitor for, but there will really only be one correct way to do it for your installation.

Attach a wire from the negative side of the capacitor to a ground source i. e something metal and part of the car. Then cut power supply to your amp. or whatever your using this for in half and attach both cut ends to the pos side of the capacitor
