Decorative boxes come in many sizes and can be stacked on a shelve or in a corner. Plain boxes can be wrapped in colourful paper or painted to match decor.

With the need for more storage space in my bedroom I opted for taking an old pedestal style waterbed frame and converted it into a platform bed with the pedestal storage underneath. Take footstools with hidden storage space and use as extra seating. It's dual purpose and looks good too.
