The best advantage is that it frees up floor space. They can also be very attractive as there are all kinds of styles and models avaiable. They can really add to the decor of a bathroom. There are different shaped sinks too. If your husband is a bog man, he will have more room for feet while at the sink.

If the bathroom is very small, a pedestal sink is perfect. I takes hardly any space and is easy to install.

Probably the biggest advantage of a pedestal sink is that they visually add space to your bathroom because they have a smaller footprint than a vanity style sink.

The advantage to a pedestal sink is that they take up less room so they fit well into smaller bathrooms. Also, they are decorative and pretty. However, these sinks offer no counter tops which makes them not practical for a bathroom that is used a lot. They also don't have any storage under them.
