This is a simple removal, done either by hand or pipe wrench if necessary. Simply unscrew the collars or nuts from the top and bottom of the pipe and remove.

The "U" shaped pipe under your sink is called a "P" trap and, unless the fittings are corroded or frozen it should be quite easy to remove.

Open door under sink cabinet. Place a bucket under the pipe. Use a wrench to turn both sets of fasteners on the u-pipe.
