You can find the cost from an authorised dealer or join up as a member of the Certified Collector’s Society and get the info yourself. The have an online submission service that'll tell you the cost as you fill in the form for your comics. Try it yourself and see.

If you have very expensive comics CGC can be useful but it is very expensive and only for the most valuable books. Frees range between $11-$85 per book.

This will depend on the number of comics you are going to certify. You will get a bulk discount if you have more than one thousand. About 50 cents per comic is the standard.

CGC (Comics Guaranty Company) is a company that will grade your comic and label it as Mint, Near Mint, Very Fine, Fine, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor. They charge 16$ for their modern service, 49$ for their standard service and 29$ for their economy service.

CGC now grades them by number: 0. 5 to 10 instead of the above rating. The higher the number, the better the grade.  add a comment

There's also a color grade buddy. Blue for a “universal” comic, Yellow for a “signature series” comic, Green for a “qualified” comic, Purple for a “restored” comic. There also used to be a Red for a “modern” comic, but this is outdated.  add a comment

The final cost for using the Certified Guarantee Company will depend on the grade and amount of the comics that you are dealing with. They offer a prescreening process that will determine what your cost will be.
