Normal blood glucose values for non-diabetic dogs range from 80-150 as measured on a vet's glucometer. Home glucometers used on animals tend to read a bit lower in the below-100 ranges and so will frequently show lower numbers that are not cause for alarm.

Normal blood sugar level is between 75 and 120 mg. If it is over 200 mg and other blood levels are normal, diabetes may be the reason. Insulin injections are given to control diabetes.

Normal blood sugar can range from 80 to 150 mg/dl for dogs. This can vary based on how recently your pet has eaten or if your pet's blood sugar is being regulated by insulin. Stress can also artificially increased blood sugar levels. It is not uncommon for healthy pets to have high levels when they become stressed at the vet.
