What are indoor prayer plants?

I was told that I should get one of these for my house and have no idea what it is.

They are compact house plants with red and yellow veins on green leaves which fold up at night like hands in prayer. They should be kept out of direct sunlight unless it is filtered through a curtain. It will bloom with white flowers if kept in high humidity, or misted daily, or kept in tray with pebbles and water.
