The important thing to know is this belongs to the succulent family and actually isn't a palm, it just looks like one. I say this because the watering is very different for succulents. Water sparingly. Keep plant in a bright warm room and fertilize with a specialized food specifically for succulents.

The best two things you can do are give it miracle grow in the water and put jobes plant spikes in the soil around the plant at least once a month.

Madagascar palms are very easy to care for they need to be placed in full sun preferably in a west or south facing window. They need very little water and attention. Fertilizing from time to time is recommended and because they grow so quickly a large pot is advised at the initial planting.

This plant requires a lot of sun. It does typically well outdoors during the summer but make sure to bring it in during the winter or it will die.
