There are many arts and cultural museums down there. Go to the international state festival in Melbourne Victoria. It is a lot of fun and an experience you are going to cherish for the rest of your lifetime.

There are a few things first the colonial tramcar resturant,the yarra valley wine and winery,the flight of sunrise balloon, the great ocean road small eco tour and, the spirit of melbourne dinner cruise.

Well I recommend visiting all of the museums in Melbourne. I also like the national exhibition park. You should also go to the pizzeria's there because they have the best pizza ever. Go to all of the restaurants in downtown on altering days. You will be impressed with the food.

When I went to melbourne in Feb. 2010, I loved taking a day trip to see the Penguin Parade. 1) take a tour, it makes it alot more worth it. 2) bring warm clothes, the wind off the water is really cool. I also love photography and loved the mini museum at Micheal's Camera in the city.
