There are nurses who go to school specifically for working with children. These nurses are called pediatric nurses. Premature newborns have different nurses specializing in preemie care.

There are many different nurses that work with newborns. A labor and delivery nurse will care for the newborn immediately after birth. A mother/baby nurse will care for the baby for the days after delivery. A nursery or NICU nurse cares for the newborn that needs extra care.
