These are less motile leucocytes having large nuclei.the important function of these corpuscles is to produce antibodies.If the number of lymphocytes is increased enormously,that condition is cancer. cancer of blood is called leukemia.Blood transfusion is one of the treatment of leukemia.Normal count of leucocytes are7000/mm3.

They are used to find out whether an immune response is working properly. The amount that you have can tell a doctor is their is a possibility of cancer.

my absolute lymphocytes 815&white blood 4.2 what does that mean

My blood test says my Absolute Lymphocytes are at 8174. My White Blood cell count is 15.6. I have been like this for years. I am 70 years old. Is there anything I can do about this? thanks, Elyse
