It's intended generally for preschool-aged children, give or take a little. All the discs for it are age-appropriate (and the only discs that will work are listed AS Jr. discs), though the selection is a bit limited. It's more durable than the Video Now, though, so if your nephew likes to drop/throw things, you might still consider the Jr.
