The most important thing to know before purchasing is to know what type of system you have (heat pump, gas, electric) and insure that you purchase a specifically designed model for the unit. The manual is key for install (do not lose.) finally don't just assume the control wiring is appropriately colored on your unit.

If you are wanting to do this certain type of project you will have some wiring issues to worry about. You will have to make sure that everything is wired correctly.
