It depends on how hard you are taking it, and how much support you have around you. If the answer is very hard and none or not much, I would recommend seeing a professional. Otherwise, just try and remember the good times, and work as hard as you can to make them proud even though they are gone.

Allow yourself time to grieve in whatever way helps you to cope with your emotions. The grieving process consists of stages like depression, anger, denial, and acceptance.

Really, it's just about time. The loss of a parent is difficult, and there's no quick way to get past it. Talk with your friends and family.

Talk to friends and family about how you feel. Remember always the good moments you shared together, and forgive them for their mistakes, this is important in the process of healing. Understand the inevitability of the situation, and find comfort and strength in the people that surrounds you and/or your religion. Love transcends time, they're alive within you.

Remember the good times but don't get caught up in the death. Take time to grieve and then move on. If you don't you will become depressed and obsessed.
