The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced recently a safety recall of Cosco child restraint seats for failure to meet Federal safety standards. The recall involves 7,863 Cosco Touriva Overhead Shield (Models 02-014-EMF, 02-014-GDM, and 02-015-PLD) and Touriva 5-point (Models 02-514-BWE, 02-584-OXF, and 02-518-NDF)

In February of 2011, there was a volunteer safety recall of child safety seats sold in Cosco and other stores. Models include lpha Omega, Alpha Omega Elite, OnBoard TS, Mico, Enspira, Prospect, Vantage Point, Priori, Avenue and Uptown brand child safety seats.
