The AT&T symbol and bars are still on my iPhone, but the 3G is gone. Why?

When I try calling someone it says 'it's not allowed on this line". I can't text or surf the web either. AT&T says my number is locked. What do I do to get it unlocked?

It does not sound like a technical issue. The only time this would happen as described is if you forgot to pay your bill. In order to get service you have to pay your past due bill, which can be done through the phone or mailed in the form of a cashiers check.

Typically, the phone will be "locked" when the bill goes unpaid, or minutes have not been added. You cannot have the benefits without paying for them. To get it unlocked, simply pay the balance due.
