No in a routine check up they won't be looking for that. They will just be examining what is right and wrong with your body. They will check normal organ functions and see if they are doing their job. They will check your breathing and the health of your body.

Look for keratoconus in routine check up, if there is slight blurring, distortion of vision and sensitivity to light for young people in teens or in early twenties.

Keratoconus can begin when a person is in their teens and early 20s and should be a part of the routine check up as the condition can be showing mild symptoms in the beginning stages and may be overlooked.

If you're referring to an optometrist's exam, then yes, you would routinely exam the surface of the cornea and investigate visual disturbances. If you are referring to just a regular family practitioner's checkup, you are not trained to specifically look for it, but would certainly investigate if it were noticed.
