Should USB drives autorun in Windows?

This will all depend on the version of Windows you're using, the type of USB port on your computer and the type of USB drive. If you are running Windows XP, Vista or 7 and you have an "autorun" file in the root of the drive then the OS should promt you to autorun.

When you insert the USB drive, it will show next to the clock that a plug and play device has been inserted. Go into "my computer" to open the drive.
