yes, you should. if you do not you will regret it. If he doesn't like you it is better to find it out now so you can move on.

If you're pretty sure that he doesn't like you, then I highly suggest that you don't tell him. In my own experience it's not worth losing a friendship with a guy who probably doesn't feel the same way about you. Trust me, the friendship is worth more than a fling.
