The only reasons to replace a factory player is if you want better sound quality or more features. Newer head units boast ipod support and better sound, bluetooth etc.
If it ain't broken, why fix it? Sure, if you do replace it you can get better sound, more features. But if you are satisfied don't replace your old one.
