Both ballet and gymnastics are fun! Gymnastics is great if you like to move around and are flexible. Ballet is more regimented and controlled. You will also learn new words for each of the ballet moves. I think it comes down to which bests fits your personality.

Do both if you can, some people have said gymnastic is just running around ^^ but its not if you want to be good then it does require discipline and controlled movements just as ballet does, learning both can be great because they will help the other sport out.

If you have the possibility, you should do both, on my opinion.. They complement each other. Otherwise, think, if you're more of a person that likes to run and jump around, do gymnastics.. if you're more disciplined, do ballet.

Gymnastics training will ensure a sound physical body with all muscle groups being worked. Ballet training will also ensure a sound physical body but will also teach your body a more graceful way to perform acrobatic and daily routines. Ballet will encourage a certain "lightness" -- there is no "sticking the landing" in ballet.

It all depends on which one you like more. Keep in mind is that ballet is much more controlled than gymnastics, in that the movements are slow and steady. Also, you need to have rhythm to do ballet. Generally, gymnastics is fast paced, using speed and gravity as well.

Overall, this is your choice. Some people are built for gymnastics, and some people are built more for dance. Whichever is more fun for you!

They are both great forms of exercise, but I prefer ballet. It's beautiful and teaches you how to become more graceful and balanced.

Ballet is good if you want to go into dancing in general or body double work, where controlled body movement is critical. Gymnastics are best if you want to compete as a gymnast or do stunts.

Gymnastics is great for flexible and strong people. With ballet you have to be very diciplined and strong. Gymnastics, if you are strong and flexible, is perfect for you. And with ballet, it isn't something you just learn. You have to born with a sense of grace and balance.
