Should I be worried about beetles on my rose bushes?

Yes, beetles can devour a rose bush in no time and soon the beetles will have offspring and then get out of control and move on to your other plant. I would recommend using an insecticide to keep them away. Spiders are also a good way to keep their population under control.

If the beetles are the Japanese variety, yes you need to get rid of them. The commercial product sevin is the best insecticide for this.

They usual don't do much harm since they do not eat the flowers on the plant. But you can use seven dust on the plants and the beetles will die and go away.

Japanese beetles are a known pest of rose bushes. If you want to go a more natural route on getting rid of them, planting garlic seems to do the trick. Alternatively, you could put neem oil on the plants since it deters the beetles from eating them.

If your roses are doing well then the soil is ideal for the roses so that isn't matter for you to worry. If an insect is the problem then there is alway evidence of them such as eaten petals,Then take appropriate measures
