Most fish (gouramis included) can change colors if they are sick, stressed or getting picked on. Weaker fish can show the dullest color, while the strongest (bully) fish in the tank can show the brightest colors. Test the water for any measurable ammonia or nitrites (these should always measure 0).

NO the gouramis shold not change color when the color changes the taste of the salt be changed and product will not be get sold and their will be a lot of demand
