My possum is chewing roof flashing. Is it poisonous?

Its aluminium sheeting, but I'm not sure what the adhesive underneath is.

Do not let your possum do that. Not only can aluminum be a toxic, there's now way this is good for anything. It's not good for the house, either.

Thanks for your reply, he cannot do it any more....but I just wondered what the effects might be....he is fine, healthy and strong by the way...and didn't keel over and die as a result of his chewing! add a comment

It may be. If this is a pet you need to keep him contained, if this is a wild animal you need to call animal control to have it removed.

Thats the problem, I am in animal control. But I've never seen this before. Possums are never pets: they are protected in this country. add a comment
