My Grand Prix steering wheel is locked. What can I do?

If you've recently been in a wreck and this is why it's locked you're going to need to restart the electronics board in the car. This can be done by taking it to an expert. You might try pumping the brake and emergency brake while starting the car, as it could be related and un-stick the shaft.

Try moving the car back and forth. You can also try to turn the wheel to the left or right while you try to get them.

if the steering wheel remains locked when you turn on the key you might have a problem in the steering shaft sometimes tapping it a little with a rubber mallet but i dont suggest going with that right away

Turn the key and turn the steering wheel in the opposite direction and the steering wheel will unlock.This is a safety feature which is part of the anti theft system.
