This is a good indication that your alternator may need to be serviced. I would take your vehicle to the local automotive store and have the battery and the alternator tested. This is usually free of charge!

Sounds like you need a new battery. The strain on your battery just becomes more apparent at higher RPM. Replacing your battery will stop this problem from in the future. Ford Escorts are one of the quirkiest cars in my opinion. You might even consider purchasing a different brand of car honestly.

You are going to want to check your battery. Some of them have cells that you can open and pour some distilled water into the cells. You can try that and if that does not help you can have Auto Zone check your alternator. It could be going and one day your car will just die while driving.

It could be that your alternator isn't producing enough voltage at that low speed. Auto parts stores like Advance test alternators for free, give it a try. It could also be a problem with the voltage regulator. If it isn't either one, consult your dealership.

Probably the battery poor. Buy a new battery and try it then. That should solve the problem. If it don't, then drive it to mechanic to check it.

You should probably have your battery or alternator tested. Its probably one of the two that is bad. Try a parts store to have it tested.

First check your manual to see what it recommends, then take it to the car dealer or go to an auto store and get a new battery and install it.

This indicating that you need a new battery. Strain on battery becomes more higher in rpm. Just to be for sure you should take it to get a free diagnostic test from a auto part store that offer test for free. Sometimes it can be the both battery and alternator might be on its way goin.
