Triploidy is always fatal. Ninety nine percent of the time the baby is still born; if the baby is born alive it will only survive for a few hours. While there are cases of babies living more than four months they are rare and usually do not have full triploidy.

Triploidy is always fatal. There are some conditions where there are three copies of only one chromosome which are compatible with life, but cause severe defects.

No, although most Triploidy cases reult in miscarriages, some do make it to full term. The outcome is either death or birth defects and mental retardation.

Triploidy means that a baby has three copies of every chromosome instead of two. Yes, it is alway fatal. Most of the pregnancies with this abort during the early first trimester. Survival beyond 20 weeks is rare. If the fetus survives,e death is at birth but some babies affected with triploidy can live a few weeks or months.
