Dress conservatively, a nice dress or pantsuit will be sufficient. Don't worry, just dress in nice church clothes and enjoy the baptism!

A long time ago dress codes for church services used to be very formal whether you were Catholic, Baptist or Presbyterian. This usually applied to baptisms as well. But nowadays churches have been less strict about their dress codes. The godmother can wear a nice dress or a dressy pantsuit for the baptism.

No, there is not a specific dress code. This is a special day, though, and the godmother should dress nicely. Asking the parents if they have a preference in what to wear would be a nice gesture, but typically, a comfortable but pretty and respectful dress would be most appropriate.
